All referrals will be triaged according to the individual child’s need and urgency, and will be seen in the shortest possible time frame. Infants and children with suspected congenital or acquired heart diseases, or for evaluation of a heart murmur, will be seen for an initial clinical assessment as a priority. Further cardiac assessment may include an ECG, echocardiography, and in some cases a chest x-ray, followed by a comprehensive formal report and management plan.
